At the Ramada Plaza, you'll find me: Managing the many details and activities of the Conference Centre Catering Office team, while supporting the Banquet Service Team and serving as part of the hotel's executive team.
In my life before the Ramada Plaza: I worked at Trinity Western University for ten years, planning and managing university fundraising events. I later worked in the catering and sales office at the Sheraton Guildford Hotel.
Highlight at the Conference Centre: For our grand opening, the guest of honour, "Queen Elizabeth," arrived in the ballroom in a beautiful antique car. Our facility is multi-functional, including the ability to drive vehicles right into the ballroom!
Best compliment received: Pleasing a highly particular group. When a guest tells me, "We didn't have a single complaint, which is very unusual for this group!"
Outside of work, you'll find me: Walking my dog, riding my horse, or travelling.
Bonus fact: I once went paragliding in Switzerland
